Two arrested in string of home burglaries in Evergreen, Silver Creek

Five people were arrested on Thursday by the Milpitas Police Department in “another operation at the Great Mall to curb shoplifting and organized retail theft,” the department announced via social media.

The department said the five individuals were arrested on various charges, including “shoplifting, outstanding warrants, weapon violations and drug possession.”

According to the department’s post, they recovered over $1,700 in stolen merchandise in the process.
