One person died after their car — a gray Tesla Model 3 — crashed into the center divider on westbound Highway 84 near Hayward on Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said it was not clear how many others were in the car or why the incident occurred.
