CONCORD – A 30-year-old man was killed in a solo-vehicle collision Monday afternoon in Concord, police said.

The crash was reported around 3:40 p.m. on Kirker Pass Road near Hess Road, the Concord Police Department said in a news release. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s vehicle left the roadway and hit a fixed traffic sign, according to police.
Kirker Pass Road was shut down for several hours while police investigated the collision.
