49ers players racking up 2024 Pro Bowl votes

Truth be told, 49ers players will likely be grateful for the invitation but be bitterly disappointed if they’re eligible to participate in the 2024 Pro Bowl Games in Orlando, Fla. on Feb. 4.

They’d rather be preparing to play in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas the following week.

With voting set to close on Christmas Day, the following players 49ers are the leading vote-getters at their positions according to results released by the NFL on Wednesday:

Defensive end: Nick Bosa

Inside linebacker: Fred Warner

Running back: Christian McCaffrey

Tackle: Trent Williams

Tight end: George Kittle

Fullback: Kyle Juszczyk

Long-snapper: Taybor Pepper

Punter: Mitch Wishnowsky

Two players are second in the voting but are leaders in the NFC and thus would receive invitations: quarterback Brock Purdy and defensive tackle Javon Hargrave. Purdy is second at quarterback to Miami’s Tua Tagovaiola and Hargrave trails on Kansas City’s Chris Jones.

In addition, cornerback Charvarius Ward is third among cornerbacks behind DaRon Bland of Dallas and Jalen Ramsey of Miami, which would make him the second “starter” in the NFC.

Votes cast on X/Twitter will count double on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and the teams will be announced Jan. 3 on an NFL Network special.

Three 49ers are among the top overall vote-getters — McCaffrey at No. 2 (131,108), Purdy at No. 3 (120,909) and Kittle at No. 5 (109,107). The 49ers have accumulated more votes than any other team.
