ANTIOCH — Two young boys from Antioch — one aged 12, one 13 — are dead after a hit-and-run collision late Friday night, authorities said.
Antioch police said the fatal, two-vehicle crash happened about 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of W. 6th Street and G Street. The 12- and 13-year-old youths, who were traveling in a blue sedan before the collision, were transported to a hospital where they were later pronounced dead. It is has not been reported who was driving the vehicle.
The driver of the other vehicle, described in some reports as a black SUV, fled the scene, according to authorities with the investigations bureau. It has not been reported who was driving

The names of the two minors were not immediately released, pending notification of their relatives.
Speed and reckless driving appeared to be factors in the incident, authorities said.
