Suspects threaten officers in Campbell bar brawls

Dec. 18

Overnight in the 600 block of Almarida Drive: Someone took Christmas presents, jewelry and other belongings.

11:22 a.m. in the 1400 block of West Campbell Avenue: A man, 43, went into a business. During a consent search of his bag, the security guard confiscated a pellet gun was found. The man had a meth pipe and a slim Jim in his possession.

1:04 p.m. at San Tomas Expressway between Budd and Campbell avenues: A 2015 white Toyota Corolla was involved in a single-vehicle collision. The driver and the passenger succumbed to their injuries from the collision at the scene.

3:30 p.m. in the 00 block of East Campbell Avenue: A woman, 46, was staying at a hotel and refused to leave when her stay expired. She was found to have one out-of-county felony warrant.

5:24 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone in a Toyota Prius yelled racially motivated slurs at the victim after she honked at him.

6:24 p.m. in the 900 block of West Hacienda Avenue: Someone stole golf clubs from an open garage.

7:56 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone forced entry into a vehicle and stole a bag containing a laptop.

9:07 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone struck the victim’s car and fled without making proper notification.

1 a.m. at San Tomas Expressway and Budd Avenue: A driver, 35, was stopped for a traffic violation and found to be DUI.

Dec. 19

6:07 p.m. at Millich and Merrimac drives: A woman, 34, had her dog off the leash, and the dog bit two people, causing an injury. The dog was turned over to Animal Control, and the woman was arrested.

5 a.m. in the 1900 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone forced entry into two parked vehicles.

Dec. 20

Overnight in the 1000 block of Almarida Drive: Someone  broke the window to a car and rummaged through it.

5:19 p.m. at Leigh and East Campbell avenues: A driver, 30, was involved in a collision and found to be DUI.

6:51 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: A woman, 28, had an outstanding warrant for embezzlement.

3:21 a.m. in the 200 block of Watson Drive. and 200 block of North First Street: Three suspects cut the catalytic converter off two Toyota Priuses within 10 minutes.

Dec. 21

6:11 p.m. at Campisi Way and South Bascom Avenue: A man, 49, was contacted during a collision investigation and was found to be DUI.

6:51 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A woman called 911 to report someone sitting on her second-story balcony.

8:21 p.m. in the 00 block of Colleen Way: Someone stole a package off a porch and fled the scene.

9:12 p.m. at East Hamilton and Salmar avenues: A man, 23, was stopped for a vehicle code violation. He lied about his name to conceal the fact he had a misdemeanor warrant.

12:29 a.m. at Curtner Avenue and South McGlincy Lane: A man was stopped for a vehicle code violation. He was in possession of opium and a methamphetamine pipe.

Midnight in the 100 block of Shelley Avenue: A white Honda CRV was stolen from in front of the victim’s home.

Dec. 22

1:05 p.m. in the 400 block of Sunberry Avenue: Someone gained access to the victim’s bank account.

1:34 a.m. at East Rincon Avenue and South Winchester Boulevard: A man, 35, was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself while in public.

Overnight in the 100 block of Curtner Avenue: Someone forced entry into a storage unit and stole items.

6:23 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: The rear license plate was stolen off a 2018 Honda Accord.

7:15 p.m. in the 600 block of Charmain Drive: Someone forced entry into a residence and stole items.

7 p.m. in the 800 block of Stonehurst Way: Someone entered through an unlocked back door and stole items.

6:20 p.m. in the 600 block of West Hamilton Avenue: Someone damaged a vehicle in a parking lot.

9:45 p.m. at East Hamilton Avenue and Highway 17: A man, 32, was stopped for a vehicle code violation. He had an outstanding warrant and was in possession of methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe.

11:47 p.m. in the 300 block of Orchard City: A man, 23, was kicked out of a bar and pushed and bit security staff. He headbutted an officer while being taken into custody and threatened to kill officers. Another man, also 23, was involved in the physical altercation and pushed an officer.

Thieves target unlocked cars, trucks in Los Gatos

7:20 a.m. in the 100 block of Union Avenue: A man kicked a fence, causing damage.

Overnight in the 1400 block of West Campbell Avenue: Someone forced entry into a business and took money from the safe.

1:09 p.m. in the 200 block of East Campbell Avenue: Two men were yelling at people and had an opened alcohol container. They were found to be under the influence of a stimulant. One man was in possession of an apartment complex key fob.

6:38 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: Two suspects stole items from a store and struck the victim with their shoulder in order to flee.

11:23 p.m. in the 300 block of Orchard City Drive: Three suspects were all asked to leave a bar due to their intoxication. They all punched two victims.

11:54 p.m. in the 300 block of Orchard City Drive: The suspect punched the victim several times after the victim punched them once. The victim had a small laceration on her forehead.

Dec. 24

10:11 p.m. in the 2200 block of South Bascom Avenue: A man, 62, got into the driver’s seat of the victim’s vehicle. The victim was in fear that her vehicle was going to be taken with her inside. The man was contacted and threatened to fight officers.

12:53 a.m. in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue: The suspect entered a store and got into an argument with the victim. The suspect grabbed the items on the counter, and the victim reached for them to prevent them from being stolen. The suspect cut the victim on the hand with a knife and fled the store with the items.
