OAKLAND — A woman and a man were wounded in an East Oakland shooting Monday night, authorities said.
The 37-year-old woman was wounded twice and the 41-year-old man once, authorities said. They got their own transportation to a hospital and were in stable condition as of Tuesday morning.
Police have not yet said if they knew each other.
The shooting happened about 11:12 p.m. Monday outside in the 9600 block of Edes Avenue.

There was apparently a group of people standing outside when someone began shooting toward them, authorities said.
The woman and man were the only ones wounded.
Police were trying to determine if the two wounded were the intended targets or were hit by stray bullets.
Police are investigating a motive for the shooting and whether it may have been connected to a party in the area. No arrests have been made.
