Elderly resident critically injured in San Leandro house fire Thursday evening

The Alameda County Fire Department responded to a house fire on Thrush Ave. in San Leandro shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday evening, according to a post on X, formerly called Twitter.

Christmas morning fire in San Leandro apartment building displaces three people

According to a report from Bay City News Service, one elderly resident of the home was critically burned, and sent to the hospital after the department battled the one-alarm house fire. Fire officials told the news service that firefighters could see smoke coming from the house when they arrived on scene.

One other resident, and two dogs, were able to escape the building and are now displaced.
