San Jose: Man dead after suffering gunshot wound

A man was pronounced dead in San Jose after suffering at least one gunshot wound on Saturday night, according to the San Jose Police Department.

Two of three suspects take plea deals in fatal East Bay gas station shooting

Authorities responded to a report of a shooting around 7:30 p.m. in the area of Calle De Guadalupe and Plaza De Guadalupe, off Alum Rock Avenue west of Interstate 680.

Once there, officers and medical personnel tried to save the man — whose identity has not yet been released — but he was pronounced dead after being transported to a hospital.

The shooting was the 36th homicide in San Jose in 2023.

The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation.
