Man shot and killed in East Oakland Sunday morning

OAKLAND–A man was shot to death in East Oakland Sunday morning, authorities said.

The shooting was reported about 7:47 a.m. near the intersection of 89th Avenue and Plymouth Street.

Oakland officer murder suspect’s mom arrested on accessory charge

The shooting reportedly happened outside. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.

No arrests have been made, and a motive has not been determined.

The killing is the fourth homicide investigated this year by Oakland police and the third within 24 hours in the city.

There were two homicides Saturday evening.

Last year at this time, Oakland police had investigated three homicides.
