The group’s 12th Bay Area restaurant will open Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the Pruneyard in Campbell. The Los Angeles-based chain boasts more than 220 locations.
The grand opening will be celebrated from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with live music from Lavender Fields Band, a complimentary floral bar from Gal in the Glen and sweet treats from Humphry Slocombe, while supplies last.
Sweetgreen’s menu changes more often than the seasons, and the emphasis is on sustainability and from-scratch preparations, with daily deliveries of produce. Topping the winter lineup are three new protein plates: Miso-Glazed Salmon with avocado, cucumbers and pickled onions over rice; Hot Honey Chicken, served with roasted sweet potatoes, vegetable slaw and herbed quinoa; and Southwest Chicken Fajita, with fajita vegetables and black beans over rice. A new BBQ Salmon plate is available for a limited time.
The newcomers join Sweetgreen’s always-popular Harvest Bowl, Kale Caesar, Guacamole Greens and Garden Cobb plates.
In Campbell, Sweetgreen is taking over a space next door to another salad specialist, Mendocino Farms.
