The crash Dec. 30 on the highway near Clifton Court killed 29-year-old Antoinette Thompson-Scott, of Oakland. The Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office released her identity.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Chevrolet Silverado crossed into oncoming traffic while traveling northbound and crashed into a grey Kia sedan.

Thompson-Scott was driving the sedan. Police said she was not seat-belted.

The two occupants of the Chevrolet were injured and taken to a trauma center in Walnut Creek. One went by helicopter. The CHP has not provided updates on their conditions.

A Hyundai Elantra going south on Byron Highway and a Hummer going north hit debris created by the crash but were uninjured despite damage to their vehicles, the CHP said.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in the wreck.
