Nigel Lythgoe lists California home for $5 million amid sexual assault allegations

Less than a week after he stepped back from judging “So You Think You Can Dance” amid sexual assault allegations, Nigel Lythgoe has put his Toluca Lake home on the market.

The asking price is $4.995 million.

Built by Arzuman Brothers in 2022, Lythgoe’s 5,300-square-foot house of only one year has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and a large movie theater in the fully furnished basement. Also in the basement is a gym.

Set up for entertaining, the home’s main living space boasts an open-concept plan with a gourmet kitchen. It has custom cabinetry, state-of-the-art appliances and a large island with seating that seamlessly flows into the great room.

Kevin Dees and Sebastian Spader of Carolwood Estates share the listing.

Records show Lythgoe bought the property in January 2023 for $4.7 million. The house hits the MLS as Lythgoe faces a civil lawsuit brought by Paula Abdul, 61.

In the lawsuit filed Dec. 29 in Los Angeles County Superior Court under California’s Sexual Abuse and Cover Up Accountability Act (AB 2777), the “Straight Up” singer and dancer accused Lythgoe of groping, kissing and harassing her during her tenure as a judge on “American Idol” and “So You Think You Can Dance” as far back as 2001.

Two former contestants have filed a separate lawsuit alleging they were sexually assaulted.

Lythgoe, 74, has denied the allegations. He told TMZ, “I am dedicating myself to clearing my name and restoring my reputation.”
