Woman killed while crossing street in East Oakland hit-and-run crash

A 66-year-old Oakland woman died Sunday morning after a car hit her while she was walking through a crosswalk, then fled the scene, in East Oakland.

Bay Area couple charged with 2018 killing to face September trial

The woman was crossing MacArthur Boulevard near 90th Avenue when a white, four-door Cadillac Deville hit her just before 9 a.m., according to the Oakland Police Department. The woman was taken to a hospital, where she died.

Her name was not released Monday by the Alameda County coroner’s office, pending notification of her next of kin.

The Cadillac fled the scene. Police did not announce any arrests or release any suspect information.
