LOS ALTOS – Two adults were found dead inside a Los Altos residence Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Officers made the grim discovery around 1:20 p.m. while conducting a welfare check in the 200 block of West Edith Avenue, according to the Los Altos Police Department.
Police said the cause of death was unknown and the identities of the adults had not been confirmed.
There was no threat to public safety, according to police.
Police said the case is under investigation. No additional details were released Tuesday.
