Woodside soccer player Justin Galvez is the Bay Area News Group’s boys athlete of the week for Jan. 8-13.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Galvez had 36.14% of the vote. Northgate basketball player Daniel Louie took second with 28.12%.
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Galvez had four goals and two assists as Woodside rolled over Jefferson 6-1 in Peninsula Athletic League Ocean Division play. The senior also had three goals earlier in the week, leading Woodside to a 4-0 victory over Capuchino.
The Wildcats began this week 5-5-1 overall and 2-0 in the league.
