Man chases couple through Campbell park, demands they return his stuff

Jan. 15

7:55 a.m. in the 200 block of East Hacienda Avenue: A man, 52, had a stolen box trailer attached to his truck that was captured on FLOCK. A search of the man’s belongings in the trailer revealed a loaded shotgun, ammo, a baton, a dirk or dagger, a lock pick set, drug paraphernalia and Xanax pills. The man admitted being a drug addict and is a convicted felon. The trailer was released to the victim.

11:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone took the rear temporary plate from a 2023 Tesla.

2:30 p.m. at South Bascom and Campbell avenues: A man, 35, hit the victim during an argument.

2:05 a.m. at Hamilton Avenue and Almarida Drive: A man, 36, was stopped for a traffic violation and was found to be DUI.

1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone took a woman’s real necklace off of her neck and replaced it with a fake one. The woman is blind and could not provide a description.

Jan. 16

Overnight in the 1300 block of Sheffield Avenue: Someone took a 2004 white Haulmark enclosed trailer from the property by cutting a hole in the fence.

7:21 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: Two suspects stole fragrances.

10:16 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: The victim left his wallet on the counter while making a purchase, and someone took his wallet.

11:40 p.m. at Curtner Avenue and McGlincy Lane: Two men were stopped for a traffic violation. One had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and was arrested. The other had a felony warrant and possessed a controlled substance.

Jan. 17

100 block of North Central Avenue: A red Banke Road bike was stolen from the property.

3:59 p.m. in the 900 block of West Hamilton Avenue: Two suspects tried to steal alcohol and food and pushed loss prevention in an attempt to get away.

8:24 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: A man, 33, shoplifted from the store. An officer was in the area and heard the store alarm. The man fled on foot but was captured after a foot chase. He had burglary tools, drug paraphernalia and an outstanding warrant.

Jan. 18

400 block of East Hamilton Avenue: A 20-year-old embezzled from a business over the last year.

11:51 a.m. at San Tomas Expressway and East Campbell Avenue: A man, 40, was walking in the roadway, flailing his arms. He was founds to be too intoxicated to care for himself.

Overnight in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: A 2012 Gray Hyundai Elantra was stolen from the parking lot. All keys were accounted for.

3:34 p.m. at 1 W. Campbell Ave.: A man, 24, was walking at the community center and reportedly yelling. He ran after being contacted by officers. After a short foot pursuit, he was apprehended and found to be too intoxicated to care for himself.

9 a.m. in the 300 block of North First Street: A woman provided someone with her personal ID information after clicking on a suspicious pop-up on her computer.

5:50 p.m. at East Hamilton and North Central avenues: Someone driving an older green-colored sedan sideswiped the victim and fled westbound on Hamilton Avenue.

Jan. 19

Overnight in the 300 block of Budd Avenue: Someone spray-painted graffiti inside the men’s bathroom.

Bloodied man charged with killing wife at their Santa Clara home

11:27 a.m. in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue: A man, 40, was in possession of multiple credit cards belonging to others. He provided a false name and was identified via mobile ID. He was found to have two outstanding warrants. Another man, 54, was in possession of a meth pipe.

3:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Budd Avenue: A man, 30, chased a couple through the park while telling them to give his stuff back and said he would beat them up. He was contacted on Budd Avenue walking away from the park. He punched officers while being detained and continued resisting and kicking officers. A meth pipe was located in his right front pants pocket. He was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.

5:51 p.m. in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue: A man, 39, was contacted after a caller said he was preparing to leave the store with unpurchased merchandise. He stole merchandise, was in possession of a methamphetamine pipe and had a warrant for narcotics charges.

10:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Superior Drive: Someone stole a street sign.

Jan. 20

1700 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone broke into a locked vehicle via a window smash and stole over $2,000 in personal property.

3:39 a.m. in the 2300 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A man, 24, was causing a disturbance. He returned and forced entry into the store, walked behind the cash register and stole merchandise. He was detained while in possession of the merchandise and had miscellaneous cards belonging to other people. He had outstanding warrants for burglary, vandalism, and prowling.

5:02 a.m. in the 500 block of Millich Drive: A driver collided into a tree and was found to be DUI.

Jan. 21

1600 block of Manton Court: Someone slashed the tires on the victim’s vehicles.

Overnight in the 400 block of April Way: Someone took a wallet from an unlocked truck.
