SAN MATEO COUNTY — A 42-year-old Stockton man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a pair of armed robberies last fall in San Mateo and South San Francisco, police said.
The incidents were reported Nov. 15 at businesses in the 500 block of South Norfolk Street in San Mateo and in the 1000 block of Airport Boulevard in South San Francisco, according to the San Mateo and South San Francisco police departments.

In the San Mateo robbery, the suspect pointed a gun at the victim and told them to open the cash register, police said, adding that the suspect made off with more than $2,000.
San Mateo and South San Francisco police detectives identified a suspect vehicle and then the suspect, according to police.
On Wednesday, detectives with the San Mateo, South San Francisco and Stockton police departments served search and arrest warrants at the suspect’s residence in Stockton, police said.
The suspect was taken into custody and booked into San Joaquin County jail on charges of second-degree robbery, according to police. He is awaiting extradition to San Mateo County.
