Piroshky Piroshky, a popular Eastern European-inspired bakery that started in Seattle’s Pike’s Place Market more than 30 years ago, is popping up at a series of Bay Area locations in late February.
The bakery, which has been on a cross-country pop-up tour, has also popped up on TV series over the years, including Anthony Bourdain’s “No Reservations” and the Travel Channel’s “Zimmern List.”
The menu offers piroshky, boat-shaped buns packed with fillings that range from beef and cheese to smoked salmon pâté, potato and cheese, a bacon, hash brown, egg and cheese combo, and a vegan potato and mushroom option. Other menu items include a cheddar garlic roll, jalapeño and cheddar sausage roll, a cinnamon cardamom braid and borscht.
