BRENTWOOD — A man was stabbed at a residence here Monday night, police said Tuesday.
The man was hospitalized with significant injuries but authorities did not provide his age or condition. Police said he was expected to survive.
The stabbing was reported about 7:40 p.m. Monday.
Officers found the man bleeding at the intersection of Balfour Road and Hudson Drive. They provided first aid before paramedics responded and he was transported to a hospital.

Police said in a release that further investigation led officers to a nearby residence “associated” with the man; they contacted a woman who lived there. The investigators determined the stabbing happened at the residence, according to the release.
Brentwood police did not say in the release whether anyone had been arrested, or if investigators had pinpointed a possible motive in the attack. A spokesperson for the department declined to answer questions about whether the woman had been arrested.
Police did say there was no threat to public safety and no indication other people were involved.
