San Francisco is first stop as Punk in the Park festival hits the road in 2024

The Southern California-based Punk in the Park music and craft beer festival is marking its fourth year by going out on the Punk in the Park American Road Trip.

The all-ages festival, which is produced by Orange County-based Brew Ha Ha Productions and typically takes place in November at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado, announced its first stop of 2024 will be Saturday, May 4 at the Cow Palace (2600 Geneva Ave.) in Daly City just outside of San Francisco. Additional dates will be announced in the coming months.

Descendents, The Vandals, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, The Exploited, T.S.O.L., Adolescents, The Dickies, Dwarves and more are scheduled to perform. Those 21 and older will also be able to enjoy tastings of more than 100 craft beer and other craft beverages from local and regional brew houses. General admission tickets start at $49.99 and VIP tickets start at $149.99. They’re on sale now at punkinthepark.com.

Last year’s Punk in the Park was a two-day affair that included headlining sets by Pennywise and Descendents on Nov. 4-5, as well as the Vans Vert Ramp that highlighted pro skaters and BMX riders. The event also traveled to the Ventura Fairgrounds back in March of 2023 for a single-day event with Pennywise, Suicidal Tendencies, The Bouncing Souls, Fear, Manic Hispanic and more.

Punk in the Park was originally scheduled to launch in Orange County in 2020, but the inaugural event was postponed numerous times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

By 2021, Brew Ha Ha Productions was able to get the ball rolling by setting up a single-day, scaled back version of the festival in Tempe, Arizona, in May with Pennywise, Face to Face, Strung Out, Good Riddance and H20. The fest then traveled to Denver, Colorado, in August, led by Pennywise, The Vandals, Fear and Voodoo Glow Skulls. That November, it landed at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado for two days with Pennywise, NOFX, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Strung Out, Lagwagon and others.

While Punk in the Park is on the move again this year, Brew Ha Ha Productions has plenty going on in Southern California in 2024. The event producer teamed up with Los Angeles punk band Flogging Molly for the inaugural Shamrock Rebellion music and craft beer fest coming to Oak Canyon Park on March 16 with Flogging Molly, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Buzzcocks, Face to Face and more.

Brew Ha Ha Productions is also working with the Punk in Drublic Craft Beer & Music Festival to bring Los Angeles-based punk band NOFX’s final three shows ever to San Pedro’s Berth 46 on Oct. 4-6. NOFX played its final shows in the Bay Area in September 2023 with Lagwagon, Circle Jerks, Codefendants and more at the Cow Palace.
