Antioch police seek help in identifying person of interest in Jan. 3 shooting

ANTIOCH — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in a shooting last month in Antioch.

The Antioch Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in a shooting at Sycamore Square in the 1000 block of Sycamore Drive on Jan. 3, 2024. (Antioch Police Department) 

The Antioch Police Department on Thursday afternoon released an image of the individual, who appeared to be dressed in a dark-colored jacket and dark-colored pants.

The shooting was reported around 8:35 p.m. on Jan. 3 at Sycamore Square in the 1000 block of Sycamore Drive. Officers arrived to find evidence of a shooting but no victim.

Around the same time, a 32-year-old man arrived at a hospital with at least one gunshot wound, according to police. The victim was listed in critical but stable condition.
