Fire crews were called about 11:25 p.m. to the 1200 block of Temple Drive, according to spokesperson Capt. Victor Daniel of the Contra Costa Fire Protection District. The single-story home was engulfed in smoke and flames when they got there, he said.
One of the injured was taken by air ambulance to UC Davis Regional Medical Center for burn injuries, Daniel said. The other went by ambulance to John Muir Medical Center. The conditions of the two were not available immediately Friday morning.
Two other adults in the home were able to get out after awaking from their sleep because of the fire alarms, Daniel said.
Fire investigators have not determined what caused the fire to start, or where it began. Crews cleared the scene after sunrise Friday morning, but the investigation remains ongoing.
