The fire broke out around 3:30 p.m. at a two-story residence on Mountain Court, a cul-de-sac off of Mountain Lane, Alameda County Fire Department spokesperson Cheryl Hurd said.
Hurd said the fire started in an attached garage and spread to the rest of the home. No one was home at the time.
A firefighter suffered minor to moderate burns and was rushed to a hospital, Hurd said.
“We are happy to report that he has since been released and is recovering,” Hurd said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
