SAN JOSE — A man who was dropped off at a hospital emergency room with stab wounds died Wednesday morning, police said Friday.
Authorities said in a news release that the man had been dropped off with at least one stab wound about 7:25 a.m. Wednesday. Medical staff gave the man emergency care but he was pronounced dead.

Police said they had begun an investigation, but did not release any information about where the stabbing may have occurred or a possible suspect or motive.
Authorities did not release the name of the person killed pending confirmation of their identity and notification of their next of kin.
The killing is the tenth homicide in San Jose this year.
