SAN JOSE — Firefighters were called to a fast-burning fire at a Victorian home in downtown San Jose early Tuesday morning, but the structure appeared to be a total loss.

Crews responded to a house fire on the 100 block of North 4th Street at 11:42 a.m., fire officials posted on X.
There were no immediate reports of injuries. The fire was upgraded to a second alarm about ten minutes after the first alarm.
The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
