Motorcyclist who died in East Bay collision identified

Authorities on Monday publicly identified a motorcyclist who died last month in a crash that also injured his passenger.

One dead, one injured in two-vehicle crash near Gilroy

Mark Rozell, 37, of Brentwood died at the scene following the wreck on April 27. The collision happend about 10:30 p.m. on northbound Brentwood Boulevard at Valdry Court.

A 37-year-old Brentwood woman survived the crash after being taken by air ambulance to a hospital. She had major injuries, police said.

According to police, Rozell collided with another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle went by ambulance to a hospital and was treated for minor injuries. She stayed and cooperated with police.

Police said there was no indication that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the wreck.
