Oakland Ballers announce partnership with KPIX/CBS Bay Area

The Oakland Ballers announced on Tuesday morning that they will be exclusively partnering with KPIX/CBS Bay Area and televising the team’s nine Friday night home games on KPIX+ 44 Cable 12, KPIX’s sister station in San Francisco.

“We are incredibly excited to announce our partnership with KPIX/CBS Bay Area, which will be televising our Friday night home games on KPIX+,” said Bryan Carmel, a co-founder of the Ballers, in a press release. “Not only will fans get to watch Friday night Ballers baseball, but they will also get to enjoy expert commentary, in-depth analysis and behind-the-scenes access with KPIX+. We’re honored to continue Oakland’s baseball legacy and hope fans tune in to watch the Pioneer League and see how we do things in the Town.”

“We feel that sports brings us together as a community, and we are very happy to televise the Oakland Ballers’ Friday night home games to the communities we serve across the Bay Area,” said Scott Warren, the president and general manager of KPIX-TV, KPIX+ and CBS News Bay Area, in a press release. “Beyond the games, we will share inspirational stories about the team, the community that supports them, and the city that is working so hard to hold on to America’s favorite pastime.”

Additionally, with construction on the ballpark’s infrastructure underway after the Oakland City Council unanimously approved an agreement for the use of Raimondi Park last week, the Ballers released video of the ballpark renderings.

The nine Friday night home games, which all start at 6:35 pm, will be on June 7, June 14, June 28, July 5, July 12, July 26, Aug. 2, Aug. 16 and Aug. 30.

The Ballers’ broadcast team will feature Tyler Petersen, Davis Ellington and various guests. Petersen, who also serves as the team’s assistant general manager, has covered games on ESPN+, the Pac-12 Networks and the Mountain West Network. Ellington served as a broadcast assistant for the Utah Jazz, as well as a broadcaster for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, the Dodgers’ Single-A affiliate.

For games that are not aired on KPIX+ 44 Cable 12, fans can stream games on FloSports, a streaming service that partnered with the Pioneer League.
