Two Campbell businesses each have $10,000 worth of merchandise stolen

May 6

USE, POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 6:21 p.m. in the 1300 block of Theresa Avenue. A man and a woman were arguing in their driveway. The woman had a warrant for her arrest and was found to be under the influence. The man was in possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, and under the influence of a stimulant and opiate.

BURGLARY: 8 p.m. in the 600 block of West Parr Avenue. Someone smashed the sunroof and rummaged through a vehicle, but nothing of value was taken.

May 7

INJURY TO AN ELDERLY ADULT: 3:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Dillon Avenue. During an altercation, a man punched the victim several times in the face, causing injury, and fled on foot. He was located downtown and taken into custody after a brief struggle.

BURGLARY: 1 a.m. in the 300 block of East Campbell Avenue. Someone broke the window to a vehicle and took pool sticks valued at $380.

RETAIL THEFT: 1 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Bascom Avenue. Two suspects entered a business together and loaded up a grocery cart of merchandise. They exited and returned, attempting to fill up another cart. One suspect was interrupted by employees and fled the business. Both suspects walked to a parked vehicle and eventually fled the scene. Loss is approximately $1, 000.

FALSE IMPRISONMENT, ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON: 9:43 a.m. in the 600 block of Beta Court. Officers responded to a report of a domestic violence incident. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. Through interviews with the victim and family members, it was determined that the suspect strangled the victim, prevented her from leaving and feloniously assaulted her.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 6:50 p.m. in the 700 block of Craig Avenue. A man was found to be too intoxicated to care for his safety.

RETAIL THEFT: 8:25 a.m. in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue. Three suspects entered a business and stole approximately $1,230 worth of merchandise.

May 8

VEHICLE THEFT: 5:45 p.m. in the 900 block of Camden Avenue. The victim parked his blue 1989 Honda Civic Hatchback at a business and dropped the key in the overnight dropbox. The vehicle was stolen before the business opened the following day.

DUI: 9:07 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue. A man was involved in a non-injury vehicle accident in a drive-through and exhibited signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication. He was unable to perform sobriety field tests as demonstrated and explained.

May 9

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: in the 1200 block of Lorelei Court. A man was sleeping in the street and had a small baggie of methamphetamine in his pocket.

UNDER INFLUENCE OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 3:32 a.m. at Los Gatos Creek Trail. A man made 911 call reporting a false incident. He was found to be under the influence of a stimulant.

PETTY THEFT: 2:57 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue. Someone entered an open business, grabbed an item valued at $500, passed all points of sale and exited the store without paying.

Saratoga residents are victims of forgery

CORPORAL INJURY, FALSE IMPRISONMENT: 7:19 p.m. at South Winchester Boulevard and East Hamilton Avenue. A witness saw an man push a woman into a fence. He then walked her to the car with his arm around her neck. The woman looked like she was trying to get out of his hold. She had two small lacerations on her right pinky.

May 11

BURGLARY: 7:09 a.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue. Two suspects forced entry into a closed business. One stole approximately $10,000 worth of merchandise as the other waited in a nearby silver 2011 Volvo XC90. They caused approximately $7,000 worth of damage.

May 12

BURGLARY: 6:54 a.m. in the 300 block of East Campbell Avenue. A woman reported that her business had been burglarized, and about $10,000 worth of merchandise was stolen.

DUI: 5:20 a.m. at South Bascom Avenue and Mount Davidson Drive. A driver was involved in a collision with two parked vehicles. They were found to be DUI and placed under arrest.

EXTORTION: 5 p.m. in the 200 block of Hollis Avenue. Someone obtained $50 from the victim via a Zelle transfer, claiming the victim owed money, and threatened to contact family if he did not pay.

May 13

VEHICLE THEFT: 3:15 a.m. at North Second Street and East Latimer Avenue. Someone broke the window to the a vehicle in an attempt to steal the car. The vehicle sustained damage to the window and front bumper. The suspects fled in a white pickup truck with a car dolly attached to it

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 12:11 a.m. at South Bascom and Union avenues. A man was contacted after getting out of a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road and acting erratically.
