Baseball fans hoping to catch the Oakland Ballers’ inaugural season opener next Tuesday have a new option: the radio.
The new Pioneer League team will have all 48 of its regular-season games broadcast on KTRB 860 AM, the Ballers announced Thursday. Tyler Peterson will be the play-by-play voice at all games, while Davis Ellington will add color commentary for home games.
They’re only a couple of dial turns away from the A’s broadcast on Bloomberg 960.
In addition to game coverage, the station will air a 30-minute coaches show on Monday nights at 7 p.m. featuring manager Micah Franklin, bench coach J.T. Snow and vice president Don Wakamatsu.
KTRB, which is owned by the Salem Media Group and nicknamed “The Answer”, airs mostly conservative talk shows outside of baseball hours.
