Man arrested for firing BB gun in Campbell

May 13

LITTERING: 1:37 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue. A man was contacted for littering. He fled and was apprehended in the Los Gatos Creek.

POSSESSION OF TEAR GAS WEAPON, CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, PARAPHERNALIA: 5:32 p.m. at East Hamilton and Salmar avenues. A woman was stopped for a vehicle code violation and was found to be in possession of multiple kinds of narcotics and drug paraphernalia and to be driving on a suspended license. Two other women approached the vehicle stop and were detained for violations. One was in possession of narcotics, and the other was a convicted felon in possession of pepper spray.

VEHICLE THEFT: 9 p.m. in the 100 block of Union Avenue. Someone smashed the rear passenger window on a Hyundai and tampered with steering column. The victim was unable to start vehicle.

VEHICLE THEFT: 3:30 p.m. in the 700 block of West Valley Drive. Someone smashed the rear passenger window on a Hyundai and tampered with steering column. The victim was unable to start vehicle.

PETTY THEFT: 6:02 a.m. in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue. Someone walked onto the victim’s front porch and stole numerous packages valued at $100.

May 14

FALSE IMPRISONMENT: 5:30 a.m. in the 00 block of West Campbell Avenue. The suspect was refusing to exit the victim’s vehicle. He was tricked out of the car and proceeded to stand with his foot under the tire of the vehicle, preventing her from leaving until a worker drove by, allowing her time to escape. No violence occurred, but the incident violated a served criminal protective order.

BATTERY: 11:45 p.m. in the 900 block of Ravenscourt Avenue. The suspect threw cooking grease on the victim and fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival in violation of three peaceful contact restraining orders on file.

DUI: 9:58 p.m. at North Central and East Hamilton avenues. During a traffic enforcement stop, a man was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and placed under arrest.

VANDALISM: 4 p.m. at 00 West Campbell Avenue. Someone vandalized the skate park and concession stand and caused approximately $400 in damage.

May 15

VEHICLE THEFT: 10:15 p.m. at Hamilton Avenue and San Tomas Aquino Road. Dispatch received a FLOCK hit regarding a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located, and a man was stopped for being in possession of a stolen vehicle. He was also found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and in possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and burglary tools.

May 16

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: 1:30 p.m. in the 700 block of West Hacienda Avenue. Officers responded to a report of a domestic violence incident. A man was taken into custody for domestic violence, dissuading/ intimidating a witness, interfering with a victim while calling 911, concealing evidence, and possession of controlled substances.

May 17

ANIMAL CRUELTY, WILLFULLY DISCHARGING BB GUN: 1:09 p.m. in the 600 block of Charmain Drive. Officers responded to a report of someone shooting a firearm from a vehicle. Dispatch received multiple calls regarding this man, who was acting erratic, physically attacked someone, kicked his own dog and once again fired a weapon within city limits. Officers located him and attempted to take him into custody, but he fled. He was found nearby and booked into jail. Officers ultimately determined he had been armed with a BB gun.

THREATEN CRIME WITH INTENT TO TERRORIZE: 9:13 p.m. in the 2200 block of Winchester Boulevard. The victim was walking his dog when a man followed him and threatened to shoot him while grabbing at his waistband. The victim fled, fearing for his safety, and the man continued to follow him. The suspect was stopped a short distance away and arrested.

FALSE IMPRISONMENT, BATTERY: 7:58 p.m. in the 1700 block of White Oaks Road. During an argument, the victim exited the vehicle and yelled for help. The suspect grabbed her, walked her for approximately 15 steps against her will and placed her in the vehicle. The suspect was booked.

BURGLARY: 6:30 p.m. in the 2300 block of Winchester Boulevard. A man forced entry to a locked cash register and stole money. He fled the business and was apprehended by officers nearby. He was found to be in possession of stolen cash, burglary tools and a meth pipe. He was also identified the suspect in two

BATTERY: 5:09 p.m. in the 700 block of West Valley Drive. A man punched the victim in the face during an argument.

May 18

BURGLARY: 12:19 a.m. in the 500 block of Railway Avenue. A man forced his way into the victim’s residence, took a shower and ate her food in violation of a restraining order. He was found to be under the influence of a stimulant.
