OAKLAND — A man ended up resolving a child sex abuse case by pleading no contest to a single false imprisonment count and receiving probation, court records show.
Felipe Chajon, 32, of Oakland, was given credit for 15 days he already spent in jail, three years of probation and ordered to stay away from the victim, according to court records. He was charged last year with committing a lewd act on a child and unlawful sex with a minor, but both those counts were dismissed.
Chajon was arrested in May 2023 at the Bort Meadow Staging area in Chabot Regional Park. An East Bay Regional Parks Police officer found Chajon in a parked vehicle with a 15-year-old girl. Chajon later told police he was in a “relationship” with the girl but had initially believed she was 17, according to a police report.
Police separated the girl and interviewed her. She reportedly told them that Chajon had purchased beer for her before they drove to the park, according to court records.
