The man who was fatally shot in a Lake Berryessa brawl Saturday night has been identified as 39-year-old Vallejo resident, Andrew Fabian Sandoval Garcia.
The large fight broke out around 5:30 p.m. Saturday evening at the Oak Shores Day Use area, the Napa County Sheriff’s Office said. The area is known for beach activities, swimming and shoreline fishing.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Henry Wofford said three others were injured from stabbings and punches and treated at the hospital, and two people were airlifted to hospitals in serious condition.
One was released Sunday, but the other remained in the hospital, Wofford said.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation, but Wofford said that Saturday’s brawl involved “at least two different groups of people fighting each other simultaneously.”
