Man brandishes sharpened pencil at Campbell employees

June 10

HIT AND RUN, BATTERY: 11:11 a.m. at West Campbell and Victor avenues. A road rage incident resulted in a man colliding with the victim. The victim confronted the man, who spit on them. The victim was believed to have initiated the rode rage incident and caused the collision.

DUMPING WASTE IN PUBLIC: 11:48 a.m. in the 200 block of West Latimer Avenue. A man dumped a used refrigerator on the road in front of a residence.

June 11

RETAIL THEFT: 9:13 p.m. in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue. Two suspects entered a business, used a pry bar to open a locked drawer and stole $2.959 worth of merchandise.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT, VANDALISM: 8 p.m. in the 400 block of East Campbell Avenue. A man was causing a disturbance downtown, knocked over a trash can and damaged a street sign. He was found to be too intoxicated to care for his safety and placed under arrest.

June 12

BURGLARY: 7:41 p.m. in the 200 block of Malley Way. The victim left the garage open while they had dinner, then came out to the garage and saw that his bike was missing. The suspect left a different bike outside the garage.

June 13

RETAIL THEFT: 3:37 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue. Four suspects entered an open business, grabbed approximately $3,000 worth of merchandise and left the business without paying.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 12:59 p.m. at East Campbell Avenue and North First Street. The suspect was contacted after stumbling to ground. He was intoxicated and unable to care for himself. He was arrested for public intoxication.

PETTY THEFT: 9:08 a.m. in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue. A man entered an open business, grabbed five pieces of merchandise valued at $196.84 and fled the business. He fled the scene in a reported stolen vehicle.

BURGLARY: 5:30 a.m. in the 900 block of West Hacienda Avenue. Someone forced entry into a 2007 Ford E250 and stole tools.

PETTY THEFT: in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue. A man walked into a store and stole about $480 worth of cologne.

June 14

CHILD ABUSE, FALSE ID, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: at East Hamilton and South Bascom avenues. A woman was contacted for a vehicle code violation and provided a false name in attempt to hide her $1 million warrant. During a search, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and credit cards containing other people’s information were located. The woman admitted to using and being under the influence of methamphetamine at her house while her kids were in her care, putting them at risk of great bodily injury or death.

PETTY THEFT: 4:24 p.m. in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue. A man entered an open business, grabbed multiple pieces of merchandise and concealed the items in a backpack belonging to the business. He passed all points of sale without paying for the $250.73 worth of merchandise.

June 15

DUI: 12:54 a.m. in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue.  A vehicle was driving erratically and could not maintain the lane. The car exited the freeway and parked at a parking lot. Officers observed the driver vomiting outside the car. He displayed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication and was found to be DUI.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 12:15 a.m. in the 200 block of East Campbell Avenue.  A man had been drinking and was attempting to fight employees. He was found to be intoxicated in public and unable to care for himself.

PAROLE VIOLATION: 5:22 p.m. at West Hacienda and Harriet avenues. A man was passed out on a sidewalk. He was in possession of methamphetamine and someone else’s employee card.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 3:01 p.m. at South Winchester Boulevard and West Hamilton Avenue. A man  was passed out on the sidewalk. Upon being woken up, he was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself.

GRAND THEFT: 2:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of South Clover Avenue. The catalytic converter was stolen from a Prius parked on the street.

June 16

BURGLARY: 4:44 a.m. in the 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue. Someone pried open a business’s emergency exit door and stole $853.13 in merchandise.

ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON: 8 a.m. in the 1900 block of South Bascom Avenue.  Officers contacted the victim regarding an erratic driver who struck her and another victim with his vehicle at a slow rate of speed. The woman told officers the man returned to the scene and threw dirt on her windshield before speeding away from the scene.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 11:36 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue. A man was reportedly intoxicated and touching female patrons at the bar. He was contacted in the parking lot and showed signs of alcohol intoxication.

RESISTING BATTERY ON AN OFFICER, EXHIBITING A DEADLY WEAPON OTHER THAN FIREARM: 11:04 p.m. in the 1900 block of South Bascom Avenue.  A man was brandishing a sharp pencil at staff. He brandished the sharpened pencil at officers, then resisted, threatened and kicked an officer while detained and while being placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest located methamphetamine, and he was found to be under the influence of an illegal drug.
