South San Francisco man arrested on suspicion of groping, kidnapping teen

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO – Police on Monday afternoon arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of groping and kidnapping a 16-year-old girl in South San Francisco.

Man arrested on suspicion of robbing Redwood City 7-Eleven

Officers were called to the 900 block of Nora Way around 2:40 p.m. for a report of sexual battery and kidnapping, the South San Francisco Police Department said in a news release.

The victim escaped from the suspect and went to the police department to report the incident.

Police identified the suspect as a resident of South San Francisco and arrested him at his workplace. He was later booked into San Mateo County jail on charges of kidnapping, assault to commit lewd acts on a child, false imprisonment and sexual battery.

The investigation is continuing, police said.
