Man assaulted, robbed outside Campbell bar

June 17

CORPORAL INJURY: 5 p.m. in the 800 block of South San Tomas Aquino Road. A man poured a can of beer on the victim’s head. The victim tried recording the incident, and when the man went to grab the phone, he broke a nail on the victim’s hand, causing bleeding. He was arrested for domestic violence.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 8:42 p.m. in the 300 block of California Street. A man was reported as being face down in the sidewalk. He displayed signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication and was unable to care for his safety. He was arrested and booked.

LOITERING: 1:47 a.m. in the 200 block of Calado Avenue. Someone entered the backyard of a residence. The suspect did not have permission to be in their backyard and did not have any business being at the residence.

June 18

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 12:28 p.m. at West Campbell and Llewellyn avenues. A man was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself and in possession of a controlled substance. He was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail.

DUI: 8:20 p.m. in the 1500 block of South Bascom Avenue. A man was involved in a property damage collision with another vehicle. He was found to be DUI on alcohol.

DUI: 10:07 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue. A man was involved in two vehicle collisions. He was located by officers outside of his vehicle, attempting to repair his front bumper. Witnesses identified him as having been the driver.

June 19

BURGLARY: 9:43 p.m. in the 1000 block of Normandy Drive. Three suspects entered a residence forcibly via window smash through a bedroom sliding door from the backyard. They did not take any items inside the residence and fled the area. Damage to the sliding glass door is estimated at $8,000.

Explosion in Pacifica neighborhood injures one and results in five-hour road closure

BATTERY: 3:59 a.m. in the 200 block of Hollis Avenue. During a verbal altercation, the suspect pushed and punched the victim on the chest, causing a visible red mark. The suspect was arrested and booked.

DUI: 1 a.m. at East Campbell Avenue and South Winchester Boulevard. A woman was stopped for 70 MPH in a posted 35 MPH zone. She displayed objective symptoms of intoxication and was arrested for DUI. She had two outstanding warrants for prior DUI cases.

CORPORAL INJURY: 10:49 p.m. in the 600 block of Crockett Avenue. A caller reported that a man was screaming and hitting the victim. He punched, kicked, slapped and choked the victim, leaving visible injury.

June 21

CONCEALED DIRK OR DAGGER: 3:52 p.m. in the 100 block of East Hamilton Avenue. A man was contacted after reportedly lighting an object on fire. He was  in possession of a concealed dirk/dagger. He was arrested and booked into jail.

CORPORAL INJURY, ROBBERY: 9:27 a.m. in the 900 block of Connie Drive. During an altercation, the suspect forcefully took the victim’s phone from her hands, and a struggle ensued. The victim had visible injuries to her right arm. The suspect was placed under arrest.

BURGLARY: 2:41 a.m. in the 2000 block of South Bascom Avenue. Three suspects forcibly entered a closed business and stole a large safe, causing damage to the wall.

ROBBERY: 10:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Harriet Avenue. Two men argued over the suspect having to move out. The suspect fought the victim, causing him to possibly break several of his ribs. He punched a second victim, who is disabled, and stole her pepper spray from her hand. He resisted arrest.

MENTAL HEALTH COMPLAINT: 7 p.m. in the 200 block of North San Tomas Aquino Road. An elderly woman who suffers from intermittent aggression bit staff and broke a window. She was placed on a 5150 hold as a danger to others.

June 22

ROBBERY: 3 a.m. in the 300 block of Orchard City Drive. A man was assaulted outside a bar by two suspects, who stole his wallet and fled. He did not desire prosecution and just wanted his wallet back.

RETAIL THEFT: 8:39 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue. A man and a woman walked into a store and stole merchandise valued at $10,000. The man used a crowbar to pry open locked drawers. They left using the back exit door and stole an employee’s personal bag on the way out.

June 23

BURGLARY: 1:42 a.m. in the 300 block of East Mcglincy Lane. The suspect entered a parking lot and forced entry into a locked vehicle, stealing approximately $1400 worth of tools.

UNDER INFLUENCE OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA: 11:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of South Bascom Avenue. The suspect was asked to leave and threw an object at a vehicle. They were in possession of a meth pipe and found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.

June 24

MISSING JUVENILE: 2:50 a.m. at East Campbell Avenue and North Second Street. A juvenile who was reported as missing and at risk was located asleep on a bench in the downtown area. Her mother was contacted and took custody of her.
