Santa Cruz coroner IDs two in separate fatal rollovers

SANTA CRUZ — The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s-Coroner’s Office identified two men killed Sunday in unrelated solo vehicle crashes.

Sammual Sound Hickey, 27, of Davenport, died after crashing around 12:30 p.m. Sunday near Dimeo Lane in a silver 2007 Chrysler Town & Country minivan. Hickey was traveling southbound on Highway 1 when he veered off the highway and into an embankment for an unknown reason, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Felton resident Nathaniel Nolan Roland Lawrence, 34, died shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday during a crash north of Quarry Road. Lawrence was headed southbound on Graham Hill Road in a gray 2008 Ram 1500 pickup before veering off the road and into nearby trees, according to the CHP.
