Amber Alert issued for 14-day-old Vallejo boy and his mother

VALLEJO — An Amber Alert was issued Saturday morning for a 14-day-old boy and his mother, who authorities said abducted him Thursday.

Both the boy, Brandon Manning, and his mother, Valerie Manning, 28, were still missing as of noon Saturday. They were last seen about 3 a.m. Thursday in Vallejo, police said.

Authorities said Solano County Child Protective Services officials consider the infant to be at risk. No other details were released.

Valerie Manning is believed to be driving a 1991 black Isuzu Amigo with a California license plate of 2ZRD090.

According to the Amber Alert issued by the California Highway Patrol, Brandon Manning is 22 inches in height, weighs 7 pounds and has brown hair and eyes.  His mother is 5 feet 7, 175 pounds and also has brown hair and eyes.

The alert also includes pictures of the child, his mother and the vehicle.

Anyone who sees the two or the vehicle is asked to call 911 or Vallejo police at 707-552-3295.
