The Campbell Express Library is playing host to a variety of events this month under the heading, “Adventure Begins at Your Library.”
Members of the Korean Cultural Center-Urisawe will perform the “Boo-chae Choom,” a traditional Korean fan dance, on Wednesday, July 17, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Attendees of all ages will have the chance to learn the fundamental movements of the fan dance, guided by experienced dancers, as well as the art of fan decoration. Guided by skilled instructors, young participants can personalize their fans with adult assistance.
Registration is required to https://sccl.bibliocommons.com/events.
A succulent arrangement workshop on Friday, July 19, 2-3 p.m., is already full up, but hopefuls can join the waitlist at the above link.
Our City Forest will provide all necessary materials and instruction for participants to plant their own succulent arrangement. Ideal for California’s climate, these resilient plants are drought tolerant, thriving indoors or out.
On Wednesday, July 24, 3-4 p.m., magician Perry Yan visits Campbell Express Library to perform an interactive show. Yan incorporates clean comedy with his sleight-of-hand magic. No registration is required for this event.
These “adventures” are part of the Santa Clara County Library District’s Summer Reading Program. For more information, visit www.sccld.org/summer2024.
