Officers responded about 8:45 p.m. to the area of Sand Creek Road near Stony Creek Drive and found a man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, according to a statement from Brentwood police Lt. Christopher Pearl. An ambulance took the man to a hospital, and Pearl said the man was expected to survive.

Pearl said police identified one suspect and that police detained more than one person following the shooting. They did not announce any arrests.

According to Pearl, police believe the shooting was an isolated incident, and that there was no other danger to the public.
