Teal Run
Runners in the 10th annual Teal Run 5K and 10K will cross the starting line Sunday, Sept. 29, at 8:30 a.m. at Campbell Park. The fundraiser for ovarian cancer research and support also includes a kids’ dash, with awards to the top three finishers of the 5K and 10K races. Previous Teal Runs have raised more than $500,000.

The 5K and 10K courses loop around the Los Gatos Creek Trail, finishing just after the Campbell Bridge. The course is paved and mostly flat, with gentle inclines, and so is appropriate for both beginning and experienced runners.
Pre-registration race entry fees are $50 for adults and teens and $30 for children at https://www.thetealrun.org.
Campbell on Sale
Bargain hunters are welcome at Campbell on Sale, the City of Campbell’s annual community garage sale set for Saturday, Oct. 12, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.s
More than 100 households have registered to hold garage sales on the day of the event. View a garage sale map at https://www.campbellca.gov/597/Community-Garage-Sale, where sellers can also find tips on preparation, advertising, signage, pricing and setup, as well as information on how to donate items left over at the end of the day to a nonprofit organization.
Folklore Fridays
The Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority is hosting three virtual lunchtime deep dives into local folklore in October. Each week’s streamed event will showcase the South Bay’s cultural history and diversity.
