Olivia Munn and John Mulaney welcome 2nd child via surrogate

Olivia Munn and John Mulaney have welcomed their second child.

Méi June Mulaney was born Sept. 14 via surrogate, the couple announced Sunday on social media.

“I had so many profound emotions about not being able to carry my daughter. When I first met our gestational surrogate we spoke mother to mother,” Munn wrote on Instagram. “Words cannot express my gratitude that she kept our baby safe for 9 months and made our dreams come true.”

Munn, 44, and Mulaney, 42, were already parents to 2-year-old Malcolm Mulaney, who Munn gave birth to on Nov. 24, 2021. The two began dating in early 2021 and married in July in an intimate ceremony in New York.

Earlier this year, Munn revealed she underwent a hysterectomy as part of her battle against breast cancer. She has had four total surgeries since being diagnosed with the disease.

“It was the best decision for me because I needed to be present for my family,” she said in a March 2024 interview. “We don’t feel like we’re done growing our family.”

Munn, who has Chinese ancestry, said “Méi” means “plum” in Mandarin.

Mulaney was less sentimental in his own Instagram post. “We stole so much stuff from the hospital. I love my little girl so much,” he wrote.

Munn and Mulaney have previously spoken about supporting each other through personal struggles — Munn with breast cancer and Mulaney with addiction.

“It would’ve felt like climbing an iceberg without him,” Munn said. “I don’t think he had a moment to himself…and he did it all happily.”
