Pegman, the chunky yellow avatar of Google Maps, has turned blue as part of a promotion with pop star Billie Eilish.

On maps for cities on Eilish’s upcoming “Hit Me Hard and Soft” tour — including San Jose — the humanoid icon that allows a user to access Google Street View has been replaced by Blohsh, a slanted figure that’s used as a logo on Eilish’s merchandise.
A news release from Google Maps on Sept. 24 said the partnership with Eilish aims at “reducing our collective footprint when it comes to transportation and what we eat.”
Pegman has been known to change his look for certain times and places, wearing holiday costumes, for instance, or taking on the form of a serpent when he’s dragged onto Loch Ness.
Eilish’s tour begins Sunday, Sept. 29, in Quebec. She’ll be at SAP Center in San Jose for sold-out shows Dec. 10 and 11.
