One dead in shooting at VTA yard Friday evening

One person was injured in a shooting in Redwood City on Wednesday night, according to a police department press release.

Redwood City police received a report of gunshots around Jackson Avenue and Adams Street around 9:39 p.m. Police said officers responded within minutes and found a man with a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to a local hospital. He is in critical but stable condition, police said. This case is under investigation.
