OAKLAND — Two women and a man were wounded in an East Oakland shooting early Wednesday morning, authorities said.
All three were wounded in the legs and were in stable condition at different hospitals, authorities said.
The shooting happened about 12:09 a.m. Wednesday outside in the 7700 block of Bancroft Avenue, a residential and commercial area..
Police responding to gunshot detection system alerts found the three victims bleeding from their wounds and began aiding them before paramedics got to the scene..

The wounded were a 20-year-old Berkeley woman, a 20-year-old Oakland woman and a 38-year-old Oakland man, authorities said.
Police said the two women know each other.
Police believe at this time there was more than one shooter. A motive for the shooting is under investigation and police are trying to determine if any of those shot were intended victims or if they were hit by stray bullets.
No suspect information has been released.
