Political scion Robert F. Kennedy Jr. hoped to “impregnate” political reporter Olivia Nuzzi during their alleged affair, according to a recently revealed court filing.
Nuzzi’s former fiancé Ryan Lizza claims in documents obtained by the Daily Beast that after he discovered Nuzzi, 31, had been “cheating” on him for almost a year with 70-year-old Kennedy, she confessed to him the relationship had been “toxic,” “psychotic” and “crazy.”
According to the court filing, Nuzzi allegedly told Lizza that Kennedy is a “sex addict” who wanted to “control” and “impregnate” her during their relationship — though she previously said things never got physical between them.
“She told me that there was a huge power disparity between them and that he manipulated her,” Lizza claims in the filing.
The latest documents, filed on Monday, came in response to a protective order filed by Nuzzi in which she claimed Lizza is working to “harass” and “humiliate” her.
“Filings such as this, full of salacious and irrelevant claims that we will not dignify with a response, further his efforts, as described in her initial filing for the protective order,” Nuzzi’s lawyer said about Lizza’s filing.
Her counsel told the Daily Beast the suspended New York magazine reporter only wants for law enforcement and the courts to keep her safe and free from harassment.
Lizza is accused of perusing Nuzzi’s electronic devices to spy on her. He claims everything he knows about Nuzzi’s connection to Kennedy came from her directly.
Kennedy on Monday attended his mother’s funeral in Massachusetts accompanied by his wife, actor Cheryl Hines. The pair have not addressed reports that Kennedy’s alleged indiscretions have been impacting their marriage as rumors swirl that they’re heading for divorce.
