Los Gatos Farmers’ Market hosts Halloween costume parade

The Los Gatos Farmers’ Market is set to host a Halloween costume parade on Sunday, Oct. 27.

The farmers’ market will be open 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Main Street and Santa Cruz Avenue, and the parade will start at 10:30 a.m.. Attendees can decorate mini pumpkins and can guess the weight of a giant pumpkin for a chance at a $50 prize. Visit cafarmersmkts.com/losgatos-farmers-market to learn more.

Celebrate Día de los Muertos

Olga Enciso Smith, founder of the San Jose-based Machu Pichu Gallery of the Americas, and her son Brian Smith will hold a dedication for an ofrenda they constructed.

Smith is inviting those who want to commemorate loved ones to bring a photo to the dedication on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 5:30 p.m. at 157 Holly Way in Los Gatos. A self-addressed, stamped envelope is required to return the photos.

Kid and Pet Pawlooza

On Sunday, Oct. 27, little ones and pets are invited to trick-or-treat with vendors in downtown Los Gatos and participate in a “pawrade.”

Part of a fundraiser for the Street Dog Coalition, which offers free veterinary care for pets belonging to unhoused people, the event will start at the Town Plaza Park at 2:30 p.m..
