Welcome to the Bay Area News Group (Mercury News & East Bay Times) boys Athlete of the Week poll.
For the entire academic year, we will provide a list of candidates who stood out over the previous week and allow you, the reader, to vote for the winner.
This week, we consider performances from Oct. 14-19.
Polls close at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Vote as many times as you’d like until then without using bots or any other artificial methods of voting.
Votes by email and after 5 p.m. Wednesday are not counted.

We accept nominations until 11 a.m. each Monday.

On to the nominees:
Rylan Antipuesto, Christopher football: Antipuesto converted all seven of his kicks on Friday night, including field goals from 38, 30 and 26 yards, as Christopher defeated Oak Grove 43-20.
Will Corr, De La Salle water polo: Corr played a crucial role for the Spartans as they upset SoCal power Harvard-Westlake 12-9 in a tournament matchup last Thursday. Corr, a junior, collected 12 saves and scored a full-court goal.
Zach Dortch, Alameda water polo: Dortch scored five goals and had two assists, four steals and two blocked shots to lead Alameda to a 12-9 road win over Piedmont.
Kingston Keanaaina, St. Francis football: Keanaaina was the engine that powered St. Francis’ comeback victory, rushing for 218 second-half yards as the Lancers overcame a 13-0 deficit to beat St. Ignatius 27-13 in a matchup of two undefeated teams in WCAL play.
A.J. McDonald, Sequoia water polo: The sophomore scored five goals and distributed six assists as Sequoia took down Aragon 22-4.
Drew McKenzie, Acalanes football: McKenzie had a dominant defensive game for Acalanes, compiling three sacks, three tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and eight quarterback pressures. He also played on the offensive line.
Maurice Hall, Hayward football: Hall did it all for Hayward, accumulating 277 yards from scrimmage (194 rushing, 83 receiving) and three total touchdowns (one rushing, two receiving) as the Farmers took down Newark Memorial 48-20.
Jhadis Luckey, California football: Luckey was a charm for California, rushing for five touchdowns as the Grizzlies topped Monte Vista 50-36 in a battle of ranked teams.
Sage Robertson, Liberty football: Robertson tossed six touchdown passes as Liberty cruised to a 42-7 victory over Deer Valley.
Kyle Pollace, Prospect water polo: Pollace scored six goals and contributed three assists as Prospect dominated Mt. Pleasant 26-1.
Joshua Werner, Berean Christian football: Werner posted a dominant performance against Ygnacio Valley, flinging five touchdown passes and throwing for 229 yards as Berean Christian won 52-6 on homecoming.
