FRENCH POLYNESIA: Mountain View residents Diahanna Flores and Terry Hanna celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in Bora Bora. “We stayed at the Conrad (hotel) in a much-dreamed-about over-water bungalow,” Diahanna says. “Myriad exotic sea creatures offered  ocean delight with one simple jump off the deck of our room. Also, guided snorkeling trips enchanted with manta rays, turtles and eels.”

TRAVEL TIPS: Use a travel agent, Diahanna says. “The island has only recently acquired Wi-Fi, and a knowledgable expert can handle all the details.” Then go with the flow. “Mother Nature may have her say and blow out your snorkeling plans but take time to just let the island breeze blow your hair, be mesmerized by the ocean and have gratitude that paradise does exist on earth!”
