Three dead following fiery crash in East Bay involving a Cybertruck

PIEDMONT — Three people died early Wednesday in a fiery vehicle crash, according to authorities.

Man killed in hit-and-run crash in East Bay

According to dispatchers, the crash happened in the area of Hampton Road and King Avenue about 3:10 a.m. There was no immediate information on the three people who died.

A fourth person went to a hospital for treatment, according to the California Highway Patrol. That agency also was on the scene and said the the Cybertruck ran into a tree or a retaining wall and became engulfed in flames.

No other information was available immediately.
